Foldable Phone Innovations Emerge

Samsung is reportedly developing the Galaxy Z Fold 9 with a target thickness of just 3.9mm when unfolded – significantly thinner than the current Galaxy Z Fold 8’s 4.5mm. A tipster suggests Samsung may also integrate an under-display camera (UDC) for the inner screen, potentially improving upon the visible hole-punch design of the Fold 8. The company appears to be responding to competition from Apple's foldable iPhone Duo.

This device builds on the foundation of the original Mate XT and features a unique inward-folding design that creates a usable 6.5-inch display when closed (2442 x 1140 pixels). The phone boasts flagship-class cameras including a 50MP wide-angle, 40MP ultra-wide angle, and another 50MP telephoto lens.

Samsung Wallet Integrates GM Digital Keys
