Xreal Launches Aura Spatial Computing Eyewear
On October 7, 2026, Xreal officially launched its Aura Android XR smartglasses, making them available for pre-order to those who previously submitted a reservation deposit. The glasses are priced starting at $1,279.
How the Aura Works
The Xreal Aura is described as “spatial computing eyewear,” differing from headsets or traditional display glasses. Weighing less than 95 grams, they connect to a separate device – a ‘puck’ roughly smartphone-sized – that runs Android XR and provides access to Google Play Store apps and Gemini AI capabilities.
Key Features & Specifications
The Aura utilizes the Snapdragon Reality Elite chip for augmented and mixed reality experiences. It features see-through displays with a 70-degree field of view, precise hand tracking via built-in cameras, and Bose-engineered audio technology. The system also includes a trackpad and fingerprint sensor on the tethered puck for navigation.
Pricing and Availability
The Xreal Aura comes in two sizes – medium (60-66mm) and large (66-72mm) – to accommodate different users. Two storage configurations are available: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage for $1,279, or 16GB RAM with 512GB storage for $1,499. Initial shipments are planned before the holidays and will be available in the US, Canada, Japan, and South Korea, with more countries to follow.
