Nokia Sells Enterprise Campus Edge to AURELIUS

Nokia announced on October 13, 2026, that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Enterprise Campus Edge (ECE) business to AURELIUS, an alternative investor. This divestment is a strategic move by Nokia to focus its capital and resources on areas where it can achieve greater differentiation and long-term value.

Strategic Alignment and Business Focus

The sale of the ECE business aligns with Nokia's strategy to sharpen its portfolio. According to Konstanty Owczarek, Chief Corporate Development Officer at Nokia, the transaction will allow the ECE business to gain greater independence and a dedicated strategic focus as a standalone entity under AURELIUS's ownership. This is expected to enhance its agility in responding to customer needs and accelerating the digitalization of industrial operations.

About Enterprise Campus Edge

The Enterprise Campus Edge business serves approximately 900 customers globally across various sectors, including manufacturing, mining, logistics, airports, ports, and power generation. Its offerings include industrial devices, on-premises operational technology edge and micro-edge solutions, and software applications that support industrial AI-powered use cases. The aim of these solutions is to enable customers to connect their assets and process operational data locally.

Transaction Details and Outlook

The acquisition by AURELIUS is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. The transaction is anticipated to be completed in the first half of 2027. Following the announcement, Nokia's shares experienced a decline.
