Beto Cuevas Launches "Acoustic" Show in Santiago

Chilean-Canadian singer Beto Cuevas presented his "Acoustic" show for the first time in Santiago, marking a significant moment for the artist in the Heart City. The performance, held on a Saturday night, transformed into an acoustic exploration of his musical history, spanning from his influential work with La Ley to his solo career.

A Journey Through Musical History

The concert, which took place at the Restoration Hall of the Gran Teatro del Cibao, began with the song "La Mitad." The repertoire continued with a selection of hits including "Día Cero," "Vuelvo," "Paraíso," "Intenta Amar," "Hombre," and "Animal." Cuevas explained that the concept of the show is a tribute to the famous "MTV Unplugged" that La Ley recorded in 2001, a production that was a pivotal point in the group's history. He also encouraged the audience to be present, stating, "I invite you to live in the present, today, now." The show also featured songs like "Cielo Market," "Prisoners," "Out of Me," "Everything is Perfect," and "Krazyworld." The performance lasted from 8:45 pm to 10:51 pm.

Santiago Connection

During his first visit to Santiago, Cuevas noted a connection to the city, sharing, "I’m in Santiago for the first time, and we also have something in common. This city is called Santiago, and I was born in Santiago, Chile." He expressed his appreciation for the city and its people, mentioning he had the opportunity to see its main monument.
